Lead singer Marshall Davis delivery on tracks like "Kelley Green" is frantic, engaging, articulate and ultimately sincere. Backed by guitarists Kevin Carter and Ryan Morgan, bassist Joe Norkus, Jeff Ellis on drums and the latest addition of keyboardist Chris Lee, "Poisoning the Lark" is a perfect fusion of melody and power. Their songs are both delicate and forceful, setting the framework for the irresistible hooks, anthemic sing-alongs and introspective, unabashed vocals. In short, "Poisoning the Lark" is an album that stands alone on its own as an amazing record while also showing the promise of great things to come.
